On Great Men, Sound Doctrine, and a Spirit of Power—Studying Charlemagne and the Halls of Pure Christian Leadership
2 Timothy 1:7 “For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.”
We all know that there are great men in the world, of whose stature inspires awe rooted in ability, intellect, works, or gravitas. I had mentioned to Mr. Goloboy in our interview that I have studied Napoleon, Lenin, Stalin, and Hitler the most. This is not done out of affinity for their demonic morality nor of some morbid curiosity. In fact the more you know about the events of the 20th century that much darker is your outlook on humanity’s fate between heaven and hell. That the saints will be persecuted in the last days by the beast and the antichrist.
Rather I study these men because they were the animating spirit behind the greatest annihilation and war the world has ever known. I can almost feel/relate what it was like to be in the room with Stalin, I know the Russian and German deployments and military movements on the Eastern Front [3.5 million men on each side drawn up for the war in which “The World will hold Its breath” with Operation Barbarossa] and what the Russians called the ‘Great Patriotic War’;…
